The Path to Travel eSIM Success: How to Find a Global Connectivity Partner
Interactive Whitepaper
Market Ripe for The Taking
International travel is back. Data from the World Economic Forum shows that global tourism is now back to pre-pandemic levels, with business travel also expected to catch up and even outpace 2019 volumes.
This is great news for operators: on average, roaming customers bring in $41 of revenue per trip, which can have a significant positive impact on communications service providers’ (CSPs’) bottom line. At a time when traditional telecommunications revenues are decreasing, this is an unmissable opportunity for CSPs.
And yet, numbers show that not many CSPs are taking advantage of the full potential of roaming revenues. In fact, a recent report by Kaleido Intelligence shows that as many as 20% of surveyed travelers are silent roamers, who either don’t use their phone at all or connect exclusively via Wi-Fi. The reasons behind this fall into three main categories:
- #1 Wanting to avoid additional costs
- #2 Easier to use Wi-Fi
- #3 Prefer to use a local SIM card
To tap into the significant revenue represented by silent roamers, CSPs need to offer a solution that addresses all three reasons. Combining convenience, ease of use, and local-like connectivity, they can provide existing and new customers with an unbeatable roaming experience and guarantee their satisfaction and loyalty.
The key is finding an eSIM solution provider that ticks all the right boxes. Read on to find out how.
