Overview
We are seeking a Senior Communications Lead to lead our strategic communications and public relations efforts within the IoT and telecommunications sectors. This critical role involves forging strong connections with media, key telecom conferences, GSMA, and prominent telecom research firms. You will be instrumental in defining and executing our brand’s strategic positioning and content creation, ensuring our voice is prominent and persuasive in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Dynamic Content Creation: Develop and oversee the production of high-quality content across multiple platforms, including press releases, blogs, white papers, and case studies. Focus on crafting messages highlighting our technological innovations and leadership in the IoT and telecommunications fields.
- Strategic Market Positioning: Utilize deep industry knowledge to position our brand strategically in the market. Identify unique selling propositions and differentiators to elevate our brand above competitors.
- Media and Public Relations: Build and sustain strong media relations. Strategically pitch stories and facilitate interviews that showcase our company’s innovations and successes. Ensure consistent and effective coverage across all media outlets.
- Leadership in Industry Forums: Actively participate and represent our brand at key industry events such as GSMA conferences. Use these platforms to network, share insights, and promote our brand’s thought leadership.
- Event Planning and Execution: Plan and execute corporate events, webinars, and seminars that align with our strategic communication goals. Manage logistics from concept to execution to ensure events are successful and reflect our brand’s values.
- Integrated Marketing Campaigns: Collaborate with marketing teams to design and implement integrated marketing campaigns. Ensure all communications and marketing efforts are cohesive and aligned with the overall strategic objectives.
- Product Launches and Brand Campaigns: Lead communication strategies for product launches and major brand campaigns. Coordinate with product teams to ensure clear and compelling messaging that resonates with target audiences.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years in a strategic communications role, with a strong background in B2B marketing in the IoT, software, technology or telecommunications sectors.
- Content Development Expertise: Exceptional writing and editing skills with a proven track record of producing engaging and impactful content.
- Strategic Vision: Ability to think strategically and execute meticulously. Adept at translating complex technical content into compelling marketing messages.
- Media Savvy: Established relationships with key media players and influencers in the telecommunications industry. Skilled in managing media relations and PR campaigns.
- Analytical Skills: Strong capability in ROI analysis and measuring the effectiveness of communication strategies.
- Excellent public speaking skills and the ability to articulate complex ideas to varied audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or related discipline.
